Strut Tower Bar
Is anybody else curious as to how the engine doesn't hit the bar with it being so close to the engine cover. Last time I check the engine was on rubber mounts not solid. Ergo, you hit the gas the engine twists and the bar hits the engine cover. Let me know if I am wrong here... I hope that I am.
well what do you judge your necessity by? a chassis no matter how perfect you think it is can always be improved on. Maybe you dont need front and rear STB's because you dont track your car or use it in a manner that would justify buying them. But I track my cars so i want the added stiffness. At the end of the day if my car with a front and rear stb is going to handle better then one without.
A strut bar is one of the biggest bang for the buck modifications anyone can do, in my opinion.
I've got over 100 autocross runs on my FX35 and have taken out Corvettes, Audi Quattro's, and a Porche 911. There are many SCCA guys who look at me a lot differently when I show up for an event.
I've also had my FX to the track 3 times and can hold my own with anybody in an intermediate class of running. I've kept up with a RS4 through the corners at the Gingerman Race Track in South Haven, MI. 500 miles South of me.
The FX handles like a sedan, anyhow, but with a set of Eibachs and a Stillen strut brace, it is exactly like riding on a set of rails. Throw 20" wheels and AWD into the picture.
I will add on this post, also, that as the FX caught my eye 3 yrs ago, and I still love it, the G37 has done the same. It will be my next car and I'm interested in learning all I can.
I intend to have one by this time next yr.

I agree completely.
