Sport Brake Issue

2010 G37S 6mt with sport brakes

I have been having a weird issue with the sport brakes and just seeing if this is really an issue or if thats just the way the brakes are.

The pedal for the first 1-1.5" of travel is just dead, pads may slightly touch the rotors but the car does not slow down if I press the pedal anywhere in that zone.

Things I've done:
-bled and rebled the brakes
-changed brake pads
-replaced master cylinder

Once you get past the dead zone the brakes bite and the car stops good. It doesn't seem to change with pumping the brakes a second time when slowing down to build up pressure, it seems the same as initial press.

I know there is a mechanism in the brake pedal that allows the master cylinder to not be engaged all the time. So is this just the way it is or is there a possibility the master cylinder is not working correctly or is there a way to adjust the pedal?

In emergency braking situations it takes and extra half second for the brakes to fully engage. I know this isn't an extreme performance car but all other cars I've driven there is instant grab when you touch the brake pedal.

Also another weird issue is the brake booster does not seem to engage when braking semi hard and sometimes seems to engage and the car brakes quicker. How is the brake booster connected by speed or brake pedal pressure?

Thanks

Have dealer bleed abs. Probably got some air trapped in there.

Thanks. I do have access to a bi directional scanner. Does anyone know the procedures? Do I bleed ABS module first and then bleed the remainder of the brakes?
