The brake fluid question

I have read the comments about brake fluid sloshing around causing the brake light (and maybe the traction control??) lights to turn on under acceleration. I checked the level this morning, it was right at the max fill cold level. I did add a little bit more brake fluid just in case, but I am still getting the brake light to turn on.

I did see a couple comments about brake pads, but I'm not sure why that would trigger the dashboard light.

Thanks - new to me car, really happy with it - 2011 G37xS

Sensors in each wheel can throw light along with low fluid or you're tires are needing replacing
