I have had this brake noise for a long time. I greased them and the sound went away for a month during the summer. But the sound came back. I greased the brakes and hardware 2 days ago and it helped maybe for one or two stops, and then the noise came back. It happens everytime when I brake like normal coming up to a stop. If I am going really slow it won’t make the noise, or if I brake really hard and sudden it won’t make this noise. But under normal braking it happens almost everytime. Any ideas what it is? I don’t get it lol maybe I greased the brakes in correctly, or maybe I need new brakes and hardware? I am just trying to understand this so I can fix it. They have lots of life left, but they are still the same original oem brakes.

i never thought of it as a hiss, it doesn’t seem like a hiss in person but if it is a hiss what could be making that sort of sound?
