Compression rod vs lower control arm

Are these one of the same? can someone point me to a pic of what exactly a compression rod is on a G37 if different from the lower control arm?

The g37 doesn't use compression rods AFAIK. the old 1st gen g35 used compression rods as part of the lower suspension arm design but it used to have issues with busing failures and other issues...the 2nd gen g35 and all g37's use a one piece lower control arm
