Swaybar fitment- coupes and sedan same parts?
Swaybar fitment- coupes and sedan same parts?
I am looking for a set of swaybars for my 2011 G37S sedan and am considering the hotchkis set up. However in looking for the correct part number to order, it seems the same sways are for both the 2dr coupes and the 4dr sedan (hotchkis #22441). Is this correct.?
Same same.
Differences is in diameters from sedan coupe X and S and IPL.
Ok, so with aftermarket sway bars they can be bolted onto any model G37? It is just the "amount" of stiffness change from stock will vary depending on which specific model you start with (and the stock sway bars coming off).
Is there a market for the "stock" sport sway bars coming off a sport sedan? Should I try to sell them in the classifieds or just toss them? Last question, what is IPL? Was this only a coupe model? I get base, x (AWD), journey (mid level) and sport models. Even saw a G37X-S model. How do I recognize an IPL?

Sways all bolt up same. No market for oem bars unless coupe sport or IPL rear for lesser models to reduce body roll rear. Most fronts same diam.
someone knowledgeable really needs to write a sway-bar guide. I'm clear on the aftermarket stuff, but not clear on which models of G's and Z's have larger factory sway bars and how many varieties of factory swaybar there are. I can find junkyard swaybars for super cheap, but i don't know what fits and what is an improvement.

AWD has thickest front and thinnest rear bar.
S, both sedan and coupe, have thickest rear bar. Same as Nismo bar on the Z34. Front bar falls between AWD and standard Journey.
Standard Journey has intermediate sized bars.
All these bars are hollow.
Any bar that fits a G also fits the Z. Many vendors don't list Infiniti parts but do carry Nissan, so you have options.

I wouldn't exactly call it a guide, but there's a lot of useful information regarding sway bars in this thread - https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...r-upgrade.html

If by same, you mean interchangeable, then yes they are.
Quoting Ryne in that particular thread...
"Yes you can. All G37 models (sedan, coupe, RWD, AWD, sport, nonsport) are interchangeable in the rear. There is a widespread controversy about which bar is the most stiff. The consensus though, is that the AWD bar is pathetic and the RWD bars, both sport and nonsport, are much more substantial. Any difference between the RWD sport and nonsport bar, if one even exists, is minute. Also, note that the AWD bar in the front is significantly larger than the RWD, sport or not."
Maybe? I know user RMB5190 has a RSB from a Nismo Z on his G. I personally would double check with the compatibility between model years.
