AKEBONO Calipers

What year are the AKIBONO calipers on,would look so much better than the stock ones on my 11 G37xS..Just curious as to what would be involved if much at all on the swap.

It could be on any year if you check the right boxes. I have a '10 G37S and it, being the sport model and all, has the sport Akebono brakes. I think if yours doesn't have the Akebono you have the "Sport appearance" package rather than the sport package.

I believe the xS sedans are only the appearance package. You have to get a rwd to have the sport package stuff.

Here's all you need, and you might need new wheels too, as many don't have enough back clearance for those fat calipers, and it's AKEBONO btw

yeap, that's true. 19 inch wheels and above are needed for those calipers to clear and work properly

Actually there's quite a few 18s that will clear (my current Wedssports have plenty of room) but just need to confirm clearance prior to any new wheel purchase. The factory 18s that come on Sport sedans work as do most 18" OEM Z wheels.
My previous 20s didn't have enough room in front so can't go by diameter alone

Fixed thread title for you Metalhead.

If you do end up getting the big brakes and want new wheels, here's a link for templates that you can send to the wheel vendor if they aren't sure about clearance.
