Brake job cost
2013 G37X sedan w/60,000 miles on it - replacing pads and rotors all the way around, cant do it myself. Dealer quoted $1050?! My local Garage said they would do it for about $925 and I would rather give the business to them anyway but either way both prices seem rather high, no?

well when i redid my pads a while ago i paid 250 for hawk 5.0 pads. about as much for rotors. so you are looking at about $400 for markup and install of the pads and rotors.
P.S. if you have a basic set of tools i am sure you can do it yourself.

Read my DIY and you'll be convinced (assuming its a non-sport G).

Can't or don't want to do it yourself? If you truly can't then good luck in your search. If you can but are worried about screwing it up because you've never done any brake work before then look at DIYs like the one above and find videos to assist you. I was weary of doing it myself but figured I would give it a try to learn something new and save some money. It can be a little nerve-wracking the first time but it really isn't that difficult. Knowing that you learned something new and saved a ton of money is well worth it.

Price seems a little high, garage near me charges about $600 for pad and rotor replacement. You live in NY, so that may be part of it. It costs me $850 to do my brakes, but I have the Akebono's. I use hawk pads, and have 2 piece rotors, that I just replace the rotor itself, and not the hat, so the cost is a lot more
