Rear suspension differances between 37's & 370's?
Like the title says, what are the main differences between the 37 and the 370's rear suspension components?
The older 350's had the rear strut tower brace going thru the luggage compartment, not sure on the 370's but sure don't have that on a 37.
Not having the strut brace is this one of the handling compromises between the 2 body styles?

There's a ton of bracing underneath the Z that the G doesn't have. A lot of it is related to stiffening the rear subframe. The actual shocks, springs and swaybars are interchangeable, but chassis-wise, there's a big difference. They get a lot more bracing from front to back.
The suspension components and geometry are interchangeable. The Z has wider rear tires. But all the hard components are identical. The G's chassis is 12" longer and it weighs 400 to 500 pounds more than the Z. The weight, tire size and the wheelbase make the biggest difference in feel. I believe many of the bushings used by the Z are of a different composition than the G as the NVH of a 370Z is exponentially greater than a G37. I wasn't aware the Z had more bracing other than the front strut bar...I knew the Nismo had additional bracing and body dampers.
