Eibach Sway Bars
Eibach Sway Bars
This might be a noob question but for the Eibach sway bars is it just one set that fits boths coupe & sedans or do you have to buy one specifically for sedans & one specifically for coupes?

Can you guys help me determine if my coupe has them already in from and back?

Just got the sway bars installed this weekend and do noticed a difference in handling. One thing I have a question about. The place where I got them installed told me I dont really need the rear sway bars and installing them would cause me to lose traction in the rear. Not sure if anyone has experienced this or how much traction do I actually lose from putting on the rear. If anyone had info please share! Thanks!

Also; looks like only Hotchkins are available for the AWD coupe.
It seems that you are well versed in this and I would appreciate your help.
From your last post, I surmise that the G-37 coupe already comes with sway bars in front and back (pls correct this if I missed it).
If so, I gather that using hotchkins or eibach is intended to improve handling by stiffening suspension. Is this correct?
I have a 2013 coupe 6MT model, which I really like, but cannot tell how the stock sway bars on this model compare with eibach or hotchkins.
Thx in advanced
As far as the losing traction part since you can adjust the stiffness in the rear I was told that the stiffer you make the rear the less traction you will get and you wheels will spin more when you accelerate hard.

You will notice a difference if you switch out your OEM sway bars with eibach or hotchkins I read they are both good brands just a matter of preference. The Hotchkins seem a little bit too stiff for my liking which is why I went with eibach because I like how you can adjust the stiffness in the front. The reason why they improve your handling is because the diameter of the bar is thicker than stock oem sway bars so it holds the car better when cornering.
Anytime you reduce body roll, you increase the tire's contact patch to the pavement while maintaining a more even weight distribution, and that's why you have more control over the car in a turn. A stiffer swaybar is the most straightforward way to accomplish that goal.
The trade-off is minor but real. Bumps in the road are more easily transmitted from one side to the other. But it really is an insignificant effect.
I suppose he's right for most cars and most drivers, but simply wrong for people who enjoy more driving control. And he's got it backwards (no pun)... in the G community, it's pretty common for people to upgrade the RSB only.
Recommend you take modding advice from this shop with a grain of salt. Or just smile and nod.

In my case, I just enjoy my 6MT and treat her gently. That coupled with the the terrible roads in Houston, I will stick to stock for now.
Wishing you you guys well.
