Do you live paycheck-to-paycheck? If not, don't sweat the cost. If they crap out after a year, just try the MAS part mentioned above. You can't hurt the bar or the car. Your fear is misplaced.

 

you do make a point, are there any specfic installation instructions ? , after installation do i need to Grease them if so which grease do i use ?

 

The Moogs work great. I have had them on my G37S sedan with Hotchkis sways for a while now. I use Marine grease in my zerk grease gun since it is supposed to hold up a bit better. You should be able to pick both up at any decent auto parts store.

 

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't marine grease lithium based? I was under the impression that Hotchkis sways require silicon base grease? Not sure about Moogs though.

 

You can put whatever grease you want on either item. My experience is that any type of waterproof grease tends to hold up better to the elements.

How can you tell if the links ae going bad? I have the Hotchkis bars and when I turn very sharp the wheels seem to give a little. Hard to describe but just curious what the first symptoms of bad links might be, had them about 2 years and 10K miles.

 

usually a clunk/pop. Sometimes theyll snap and you get some weird freeway wandering.

 

Noise. Lots of clunking. I killed the Moog endlinks too after just a few track days. I installed SPL endlinks with spherical bearings. Hopefully, they last a bit longer. I think the issue is the massive Hotchkis front sway bar. It is so solid that it puts a lot more stress on the endlinks.
