Front Wheel Noise (Driver side)

So recently I've been hearing a subtle noise coming from the driver side. I've managed to narrow it down to the front wheel and I'm quite unsure what it could be.

The noise sounds like a chirping / rubbing noise that happens at intervals when the wheels rotate.

I don't think it's my wheel bearings and braking doesn't make the noise go away.

It's subtle and the only time I can hear it is when I'm driving in close proximity of another object like a wall. The noise from the wheels bounces off the wall can I can hear it.

I'll probably start by cleaning up my brakes and maybe it will make the noise less audible and check the dust shield but any further insight to this matter will help.

Don't know about our cars since I just bought mine a few months ago, but with previous vehicles, i'd instantly start looking into hubs and bearings from what your saying...

^^What he said.....I think, with the AWD, the front wheel bearings/hub tends to go out. Not of question of if but when. Sounds like whats going on, but I'm no AWD expert.

First, check the tire treads for a pebble or nail. That last nail I had evidenced itself by clicking as the car rolled.

Thanks for the reply guys,

I've check the threads briefly and didn't notice anything unusual embedded. once I have the tire off I'll have a better look. In addition, I'm hoping it's not the wheel bearing

UPDATE:

I discovered the source of the noise. Turns out the cotter pin was the culprit to the noise. There was a lot of play and I grab the players and gave it a good bend.

Noise is gone.

If I had brought it to the dealer I would have been charged a good arm and a leg just to diagnose the noise lol.

I had a similar issue on my front driver side. I was so sure it was the wheel bearing because it seemed speed specific, turns out it was an exhaust leak and was RPM specific. After I upgraded the y-pipe and gaskets the sound was completely gone. Sounds are hard to track sometimes, glad you figured yours out man!

13' G37xs... Thanks to your post I probably saved a fortune from having it looked at by a pro and getting screwed over! Sure enough, it was that dang cotter pin making that weird chirp noise!
