Megan Coilovers EZ II street opinions?

How is the quality on these Coilovers? Found them at a cheap price. Would you guys say they are better than BC Coilovers? Anyone running themby chance

One guy I know is selling them for $600 obo. . Sounds like a steal to me. They are for G37x coupe btw.

I've been running the RWD Megan LP Street coils for a few years now (over 40k miles) without any issues, they have a bit of a squeak now and then when going at a sharp up/down angle but other than that they've been good. Not sure what difference w/ the EZII setup though.

I had the EZ streets on my Lexus SC for about 2 years but only drove it about 2000 miles. They are great for lowering on a budget and weren't uncomfortable at all. I just assume when someone goes with a full coil over setup you kind of have to assume your going to give up a bit of comfort for performance. With that in mind I was surprised how well they rode. Many others will do nothing but bash them but I thought they were worth it. Everyone's comfort levels are going to differ so my smooth ride may be harsh for you, vice versa.. At a products standpoint, they definitely squeaked more than I liked on angled driveways or speed bumps but I never thought twice about them breaking or blowing out. Megan has come a long ways.

I bet they are the same Taiwanese stuff just with different color/label. Unfortunately for the X, (IMO) there just aren't any good quality coilovers made which means you just gotta settle with the one that provides the best customer support/service when you run into any issues.

No experience with them on the G. My friend had them on his tsx he loved them they rode good and held up fine. I have megan track version on my s2000 no issues outside of the threads seizing due to dirt but that can happen to anything

For the X it seems like KSport, Stance, and Fortune 500 would all be pretty good choices, haven't heard any major issues with any of those 3.

Oh speaking of, I had K-Sports on my Acura for about 20k without a single issue, those are my favorite coil overs to date. If those are an option in your budget, I would go with those hands down.

Assuming KW ever comes out with an AWD option.

And, this should be in the suspension forum.

In the under $1K range, I'd go with the Tein Flex Z's over any of the Taiwan/Korean stuff.

Unfortunately no Tein or KW products as of yet for the AWD platforms

Ah I missed the AWD part. Out of curiosity, what's the chassis designation for the AWD? Is it different from the RWD (CKV36)? What's specifically different about the X shocks? Lower mount?

Ah yolk mount like the GT-R for the half shaft. Strange no one really makes them given how easy it'd be just to modify the bottom bracket. Almost everyone has a threaded base on their shocks. Food for thought! I guess it may also necessitate a shorter shock stroke too and thus a shorter shock body. It'd be interesting to see if the actual Megan shock itself is any different between the X and rwd models.
