swift springs issue
swift springs issue
So looks like my struts are blown after about a month of driving on new G37x coupe Swift springs. My right strut is blown and my left side is leaking. Car is covered under warranty and I have a elite wrap coverage. Will warranty cover this or do I need to go back to factory springs first?
I would swap back to the OEM springs first. They'll find a way to void you with the Swifts still on the car. How many miles on the car? I've got 103k on the OEM struts / shocks and no issues so far on the Swifts and I've had them on the car for a few weeks now.
Definitely revert to 100% OEM configuration before pursuing ant warranty remedy on anything related to suspension. It's likely that you will get no help from the dealership service department if you have aftermarket springs on.

Its just sucks. Everyone else doesn't have issues with swift but bad luck for me apparently. Will now be going back to factory springs and get this covered. Not lowering the X nomore, if anything trading it in for the future for sedan if not getting coilovers.

They will definitely not work with you if you have the lowering springs on, i would put the oem back on like everyone else says. I believe the elite warranty should cover I'm not sure if it's considered a wear and tear item or how many miles islets covered for. Can I ask how many miles on the car?
So your going to do all that work to swap springs so you can TRY to get new shocks ? And you have to get an alignment again?
Just buy some new shocks and chalk it up to some bad luck.
