so, I removed my Tein coilover and now back to stock suspension.

the car is now a lot higher than I thought, I have measured my FTG to be 28.25" F and 28" R.

can anyone with stock ride height confirm this? my car looks like a boat now.

so I wonder if I did something wrong when putting back the stock suspension.

I have 2011 G37s sedan with factory 18" wheels.

I researched the forum and asked on FB, but got some conflicting information.

 

If i was in your situation I would go to a Infiniti dealership, find my same car and measure the height then compare. The cars at the delaership are probably completely stock and have never been touched.

Finding specific info like this is really tricky and Ive been in the same position before. Dealerships are ****ty, but they are extremely uselful for finding specific info like this. Plus you could always ask one of the Infiniti mechanics to just take a quick look (in the parking lot, you dont need to bring it in the shop cause they will probably try to charge you) and ask him if he thinks your car might be slightly off.

Last year, lobuzz311 took measurements of his stock suspension RWD-S, and this is what he came up with (below).

I know it's not the smartest math, but the intention was to take enough measurements, in multiple locations, that reasonable average values could be had.

I was 98.765% sure OE ride hight was "droopy" and that far too much was made of the slight f/r height difference. If I recall, my Swifts were maybe a 1/4" lower, so a little more leveled than OE.

 

Yep, OEM height is droopy in the rear, if you make that assessment based on floor-2-fender measurements. That doesn't mean the car isn't level, it just means that the fenders aren't designed with this consideration in mind.

When you match "height" front to rear, you actually introduce an imperceptible rake to the stance.

 

If your car was slammed I can see how you would think the OEM ride height looks like a boat. It will take some getting used to now.

anyone heard 370z spring on G37s with stock shocks?

I found some people have done that with G35/350z. The drop of 1" will be perfect for me.

 

That's the million dollar question.

I ran G35 coupe sport springs on my 04 Sedan and it was the perfect drop for me, and it didn't require any suspension modifications to meet factory alignment specs.

I have heard others state that the newer coupes are heavier than the sedan, so the spring rates are higher to compensate for the added weight. Not sure if that is true. On the first gen, you could measure the springs and see that the coupe springs were shorter.

Not much has been done on later generations with regards to interchanging OEM parts, which is one of the reasons I believe the discussion traffic here is still not at the same level as g35driver.com

Maybe in time this will change.

What do we need to do to entice some Nissan/Infiniti parts counter types into participation?

 

If they're anything like my dealership, it'll take lots of $$$.

Great find! Seems that the 2WD Sport and non-sport models are nearly identical, which does not agree with prior assumptions. Is the AWD information missing? I see "AWD" on the top right hand corner of the next page, but no table.

 

It's farther down, on page 45. It's about 3/4" higher front and rear.
