front end rattle solution

First time posting on here. This topic has been covered a few times but I just wanted to share my experience. I've had my 09' g37x coupe for about 2 months so far and for the past month I've been hearing a rattle coming from the passenger side front wheel while traveling down bumpy roads. Last night I decided to jack up the front end, disconnect both sway bar end links, secure the links and the sway bar itself using zip ties and then took it for a test spin. Finally rattle free!!! Just ordered some links from MOOG off of Rock Auto. Part numbers were K750209 and K750210. Hope this helps someone find that annoying rattle.

Great diagnostic work!!!

Are the sways aftermarket, please? And how many miles are on your coupe. Just so I have a baseline... (not sure if coupe-to-sedan is 'apples-to-apples')

I have some MOOGs from Rock on my parts shelf at the ready!! LOL

BTW: Welcome to the site and a great early post!!

Thanks,
Sean

Hey Sean, the sway bar is stock and there is just under 35k on my coupe. I picked it up late December and it was entirely stock. I'm slowly making mods (mostly aesthetic) to it but I absolutely love the car.

Have you ran MOOGs on your G?

That's cool. They're easy to love. Lot's of fun for me and my kids (13 and 15) to play with.

No, I haven't needed to change the links. Waiting for them to make noise. LOL. Since I have an X sedan, there's limited choices for front end-links...and I believe MOOG is OEM anyway for this G.

I do have Whiteline end-links for the rear and those have worked out very well. No pre-load, no noise, perfect fit since they're adjustable.
