G37x Fortune Auto Review

Had my FA500's installed a week ago along with full front and rear SPC camber kit, cusco strut bar, and GT spec rear tie bar to compliment my m-brace and 370z rear sway. Everything was installed smoothly with no issues with fitment. I did have one issue with one of the dampners stuck on the front shock so I am not able to adjust, FA has been great to work with and is sending me a replacement since I put a deposit down and will refund when I send my old one back. The ride quality is incredible and I have no unusual noises. The car just feels so much better all around and makes you want to push it harder in the turns. Bumps just get soaked up and don't make the car feel out of control like I had with my previous setup of swifts with factory shocks. Overall these were worth every penny. I went with the swift upgrade and did 9k/8k and have the height set to 26.75" front and 27" in the rear and rear dampening set to 5 and one of my fronts set to 5, I think the other is stuck on 5 but not sure yet. I'll probably crank the fronts up to a 7 or 8 once my new shock arrives. I can honestly say that these are a huge improvement from the stock suspension and gives the car that sport sedan feel that it was lacking previously while still maintaining a compliant ride for daily driving. Car is filthy at the moment, but pictures to come.

Excellent news! Is that a 5 out of 15 scale on the damper ****?
BTW, I'm making a copy of this thread to put in the review folder, thanks for the contribution!

I would love a set of FA coils for my X sedan but they're sooo pricey (I can see why)

Thanks for the review!

THMotorsports, they are a sponsor here and the only distributor for these if I recall. I would reach out to Luke, he is on this forum.

That is correct. Luke is the man.

We've had several conversations and I've yet to pull the trigger. But I've pretty much decided on the FSs. I was holding out for a higher-end true coil over for my X, but I think maintaining the stock config in the rear with the swifts is the way for me.

Did you go with the extended adjusters? Or regular. If regular, I'm interested to know how easy they are to get to?

Thanks for the review,

Sean

I just kept the regular adjusters in the rear as I didn't want to drill holes. Honestly Anyone can easily remove the rear shock in a matter of 2-3 minutes per side. I had mine out and adjusted and put back in, in less than 8 minutes by myself. It's two bolts on top and one 17mm on the bottom. You just need to jack up the rear control arm to line up and put the bolt through.

Did you ever change the rear dampening or are you still at 5? Daily driver?

I kept it at a 5 and it is a daily driver. The car rides better than stock and even my girlfriend agrees. She hated my car before with swifts and stock shocks. Now she says it feels better than her BMW.

Way better in every way. You can adjust the ride height to your liking. I ended up keeping it at the same height I had with swifts and stock shocks.

Question:

I just ordered a set for my '13 xS Coupe from THM last week.
Both FA and TH recommended 11k/8k Swifts (8" rear)

I've seen a few people use 10/8 as well.

Anyone know how these different rates are recommended? I made sure to emphasize this was for a Daily Driver, and comfort is a priority.

I'm on 10k/9k swift springs at +8/+11 dampening. I drive 33 miles to work and 33 back every day and the ride is enjoyable, even with the road work going on. When I am not at work I will try to remember to find a link to an article that goes over spring rates and comfort vs. cornering.

Please post pics. I'm curious how low the car sits. I'm unsure how that measurement you posted in the OP translates. Thanks in advance.

The FA 500s are adjustable. I just had them raised 3/4" to mitigate snow issues.
