Help with New Brakes
Help with New Brakes

Hi everybody Happy Thanksgiving!
Need some help, its time to replace the brakes on the G and I want to make sure i'm getting the correct set up. RockAuto has been brought up many times so I've been doing my research there. Can anybody verify that POWER STOP # KOE4138 package is correct for the Akebono BBKs for the front and rear a little confused when i click more info it just says Power Stop Rotor (2) and again Power Stop Rotor (2) i'm guessing its both the front and rears, but it is a kit and comes with 2 sets of pads for both the front and rear. Can anybody confirm?
blnewt i know you went with the Wilwood upgrade (which look amazing btw) did you just use the centric blank rotors?
I kind of want to do a slotted rotor but i don't track my car and to be honest it just looks cool dont' really need them...
Any other recommendations? My G (haha little plug) is pretty much a daily driver with occasional spirited sprints.
Thanks and again Happy Thanksgiving.

Appreciate it... Just another thought popped into my head I could always just machine my rotors as well and get new pads... Rotors have never been turned and I'm pretty sure there is a decent amount of life left. Any whos thoughts anybody thanks again.
Stock Brake System Bed-in
Yep, you could get them machined and I'd go w/ Stoptech Street pads, follow the bed-in on their site and you'll be stopping better than ever! They will dust up more than your OEM pads FWIW.

So I was feeling lazy over the weekend and let my cousin drive my car when we had lunch over the weekend and he pointed out a hum sound as the car slows down. I've never noticed this (had my brakes replaced about a year and a half ago... thanks to the reminder of the thread above :P). with about 10k miles on them since the replacement. (travel for work... don't get to drive my g that much except on the weekend
...)
But, now i can't stop noticing it. Any ideas???? it sounds similar to a generator slowing down very faint and only usually when i get to about 10mph down to completely stopped... now that i'm talking about it sounds like maybe uneven surface on the rotor/pad?
