Powerstop brake kit?

Does anyone have any experience with these kits? I am going to be replacing my pads in the next few months and came across these kits on autoanything.com. I know they're not a BBK kit, but if I'm going to spend $150 or more on a good set of Hawk or EBC pads, then why not spend a few hundred more and get some slotted and drilled rotors as well?

Thoughts? Opinions?

Drilled rotors are a downgrade. Stick with blanks or slotted rotors.

I knew drilled wasn't really a performance upgrade, but didn't consider them a downgrade......

You're taking away surface area and mass, its a downgrade.

Less surface area for the pads to contact, less mass to absorb heat.

Check rockauto.com for Centric premium rotors, would be an upgrade from OEM for what should be less money

Currently running the Powerstop kit, have been for about 9 months. Was great for about the first 6 months, but I currently have vibration / humming when stopping from high speed. The set was bedded in properly, not really sure what has lead to the vibration. When the set was just installed, there was no noise or vibration whatsoever when stopping.

Although I do have the vibration issue, it has not impacted the stopping power at all it stops better, IMO than the OEM brakes / rotors that were on there before (to their credit, they were in dire need of change). Perhaps my situation may be an isolated case. At any rate, I am now looking at a BBK. The modding bug has hit me with a vengeance. It started with new wheels, and then it led to the midnight grille, Hotchkis sways (installed today, big thumbs up to those as well) and now the BBK looks like it may be up next! I love this site! (though my wallet may not)

Sounds like it's coming together nicely, posts pics along the way and set up a build thread when you feel "it's time"

Nice! Slotted rotors are a nice look and seem to have more upside than drilled FWIW.
What pads did you get?

The kit came with posi quiet pads. I actually have to call tomorrow because I accidentally selected the coupe kit instead of the sedan kit. I also forgot to put braided brake lines in my cart before I checked out. Guess that's what happens when you're giddy like a schoolgirl because you're ordering your 3rd mod in as many days lol.
