G37s coupe breaks
A. You didn't know what he meant.
B. Your OCD of bad grammar made you post here.
C. You have absolutely nothing better to do then look through posts for bad grammar and call people out on it.
Im pretty sure A is not true. Im also pretty sure that B is not true. So it must be C.
OP: Does it always do this or just recently? Has it been raining a lot in your area? Sometimes when its been raining all day my brakes/car makes weird noises.
I actually read the thread title and not anything else and seriously thought that his G37 coupe literally broke, and thought that was a weird way to describe a mechanical breakdown. Then I considered the possibility that it may have broken into two or more pieces.
Also, that is not a grammatical error in the first place, it is a spelling error.
To the point, however: I have noticed that myself. I chalked it up to the fact that when I am going in reverse I am also lightly braking, and thought that maybe the slight friction between the pad and the rotor causes the squealing sound. I also never hear it while braking and going forward, but I obviously press the brakes harder to come to a stop while going forward.

Chekov, Im assuming one of these is true:

BTW, there should be an apostrophe between the I and m in your post.
I don't know, for someone who is obsessive-compulsive about grammar and spelling, I'm surprised that you used "BTW" to refer to the phrase "By the way", seeing as how "BTW" isn't a word or even a formally accepted acronym. By the way, you should probably have put apostrophes around the "I" and "m" in the sentence "By the way, there should be an apostrophe between the "I" and "m" in your post". Behold, for I am Hitler among grammar *****!

I did, and so did one other person. Look at my first post in this thread. I'm pretty sure that if he feathers the brakes as he reverses, that could be the cause of the noise. I only have 28,000 miles on the original brake pads, so they shouldn't be worn out yet. As I understand it, the brake pads will make a constant screeching sound once they are worn down all the way (due to some safety measure that was implemented in their design to let the driver know that they are worn out).

Well, I sure didn't expect anyone to be offended by the Hitler reference. It is just another way of saying that I was the biggest grammar **** (as you could see when I pointed out things that even grammar ***** don't point out). Do people typically get offended when they are called out as grammar *****? Do people who call people grammar ***** think they are going to offend anyone, or do they do it to offend people?
Some people really need to grow thicker skin.
At any rate, this thread will be derailed if we decide to bicker about the offensive nature of my post, so if anyone wants to continue, let's do it via PM as per the board rules, alright?

Dear OP,
Please use the search feature, this topic is popular and has been discussed several times, if nothing is coming up its probably because you're misspelling brakes.
If you must start a thread, please do so in the right subforum.
Good luck!
