noob here searched but haven't found my answer to lowing my G37x sedan

There's a guy on FB Adam Race Consulting, he's in the Chicagoland area and has provided me with the best pricing I've found. A buddy here in TN used him when he bagged his coupe at a very reasonable cost. Adam was responsive and very helpful. Unfortunately he confirmed I can't run Koni's on my X. May want to touch base with him if you're the social media type.
Check with him on pricing, bundling and some potential options.
I wanted to run Konis and swifts but the are no Konis that will fit the front of an X. He put together a couple other options we discussed and was going to do some additional research for me but I told him to hold off as I'm not ready for a drop yet. Need to finish exhaust, tires etc and pay that pesky mortgage.

You don't need to change the factory struts for lowering springs. Heck, I couldn't even find a reputable company to purchase aftermarket struts from (Bilstein, H&R, Koni, etc).
I was waiting for some folks to resolve the "noisy" rear shock BC provides with their coil over system but that isn't happening any time soon. I think I will go for a set of D2 coilovers and give those a shot - a few people on here seem to have good results with them. The model number for the D2 coils is "D-IN-10"

They certainly do... I didn't know this. I wonder how these would perform with Swift Springs. And also if they would offer a bit of a lower drop compared to OEM struts and shocks.
I have attached 2 pictures, the milder drop is when i was on Eibach.
i never had any noise issues, i was running the eibach on the stock struts.
i have had my fenders pulled as i am running a very aggressive offset and wide wheel and tire setup all-around.
the other picture is now, that i am lowered on the D2 racing coilovers.
again, no noise issue here. just a stiffer ride, given i am lower and on a stiff setting.
if someone is looking for eibach springs for the X, i am selling my old set, has about 8000k miles on them, asking 150$ plus shipping.
the only thing that bothers me, (doesnt affect the driving feel in anyway) is that when your car is stock, our springs sit on their own and struts are on their own in the back, by going coilovers, it becomes one and now we have this arm that is visible that use to house the bottom of the spring just sitting there empty...
again this is just a visible issue and does not affect the drive in anyway.

KYB set up for AWD sedan's pretty economical. ~350 bucks pair them with Swifts and you probably have a great set up for under 700 bucks..

Because these KYBs are "performance" shocks and struts, would that make then stiffer and not allow for as much of a drop? And are they the exact same size as the OE equipment...
I'll definitely be giving KYB a call this week for more information because this could be a valuable option for us X guys to get a little lower.

That is a good find, there's just such a sparse selection for you X guys. Here's a link on JC Whitney for decent prices, don't see the fronts here though, just the rears~

Just from the quick amount of reading I've done, these seem to be an OE-replacement option - designed to perform similar to the shocks/struts that came with our sedans, only at a lesser cost.

^ I have installed these on a prior car without aftermarket springs and the ride was awesome and it increased the handling quite a bit.
I believe the quality is better than oem which should not affect your ability to pair with Springs of any type. It should only add to the longevity and increased ride quality.

Here's a good thread on G35 about the KYBs w/ Swifts (not AWD though), Soundmike knows his stuff and seems to like the combo~

Good find Brad. In my case, I want a little bit more drop, and it seems like the KYB gear with my swift springs isn't going to do that. Maybe another spring options + KYB equipment will be the ticket?
