370Z Sport Suspension in a G37 Coupe
Hey Guys,
I bought some practically new 370Z Sport springs and shocks off a forum member. Got them for a GREAT price so I was like F it lets try it out. Installing them right now so soon will come pics. I had it on on Tanabe springs before so hopefully it sits lower. Wish me luck hahah
*** RESULTS: Well the results are in and its the exact same height as when it was lowered with Tanabe springs. But on the bright side I now have shocks with only 1K miles on them. As for fitment though, they fit perfectly and replace the stocks shocks directly. No modifactions and only took an hour to install

Thanks for reporting back! I was about to pull the trigger on these but I couldn't get 100% confirmation on the fit and if it would in fact be a complete swap with no modifications. What, if any difference was there with the ride quality? Now just have to be on the lookout for another set to pop up, that way I have no down time.
Thanks,
Joe

Tough crowd, I must say though its guys like you that experiment and come acrosss these great ideas that work at times. For instance the Aero bumper epidemic. Also for whoever that want to go lower can now get something here that won't stress stock shocks.

If someone with stock suspension moved to the 370 springs, what sort of drop would there be?
Would I have to re-calibrate the speedometer or anything like that?
Sorry if that sounds stupid, it's just what i've been told and I honestly have noooo clue.

[QUOTE=BluestickG;3633198]Hey Guys,
*** RESULTS: Well the results are in ...
I'm looking to do what you just did - drop my G37x Coupe just about an inch ... and want to maintain a sensible ride (it is my DD) and avoid the harsher ride of aftermarket springs/coilovers.
(I also own a 370 with sport suspension so I am familiar with the ride)
Can you post a photo of your G ?
Full side view + close up of Front wheels + close up of Rear wheels showing the gap of course ...
That would be great !
One picture is worth a thousand words !
Thanks,
Bob

Ride quality was softer compared to my old shocks and tanabe springs. I didn't like it, felt like stock so I transferred over my Tanabe springs onto the new 370z shocks/struts. Rides GREAT now IMO

Just like Wheels yet Suspension ... G37-S are one suspension... X-Xs are different as well... part numbers too... thats why coilivers or Springs are so difficult to find choices with an X-Xs...
So IMO Crossing a Stock G or Z with and X not possible ...

The gap on the front still needs to come down a way bit imo... my STecs were closer than that about a finger if that on my 20's
Still have the Springs if interested... I'm on coils now...
