G37 2012 IPL suspension on v36 sedan?

Hi guys.. looking for the suspension gurus here to help me with this question.
I recently acquired a full suspension from a 2120 g37 IPL (mounted strut+spring), and I am hoping I can port this to my sedan.. I asked a local shop if i could do such a thing and they said it was pretty much interchangeable between the two cars .
I want to know if by porting it over I will gain some performance over my stock journey suspension.?? will it lower the car?? does anyone now what the compression rate on this shocks is compared to my stock?

please let me know
thank you for your valuable time.

btw my car is a 07 G35 (v36) sedan Journey pkg

You "acquired" this before you knew if it would work on your car? Interesting.

The shocks should fit. Whether the damping rates will work well with the sedan is to be determined.

The springs may raise, lower, or do nothing to the ride height... and not necessarily equally front to rear. You could try them and find out, but I wouldn't do it if it were my car and time. Get springs that are designed for the weight and balance of the sedan.

to be fair, i got the whole kit for less than I would have paid for one strut only, and I have a buddy who is doing the install for freebies.. I am yet to install them tho.
