Eibach prokit + camber kit + alignment quote

I got a quote from dealer on all of 3 above, the total came close to 1k. Do you think it is reasonable? I am aware that their labor is 200/hr which I am OK with however does the installation really take 4-5 hrs?

The town I live doesn't really have any performance shop and I doubt that all other auto shops won't screw up my car.

Suggestions?

for $1k, i would drive to the next town and get them all done for at least half that. alignment shouldn't run you more than $100. PK + camber kit should be a few hundred the most. i would say it's about a 3-4 hr job.

$250 springs
$450 F/R camber kit
$200 Installation for all three items.
$100 Alignment

so it could be fine.

but it could also be done for under $500:

$150 used springs $150
$100 used rear camber kit
$100 installation
$50 alignment

Ah, I wish 1k is for everything. It's for labor only.

Ohh **** 1K for labor only? That is too much!

Check some DIY posts. or maybe a friend can help you set up.

You can sure do a lot with $1000!

If for 1K include parts and labor I would do it in a heartbeat. However it's too good to be true.

I think $500 to $600 is a reasonable for just labor consider the time needed for the installation.

I am located around the capital regions of NY, and I am open for recommendation on good auto shops.

Dealer will always charge an arm and leg. Dealers can actually generate more revenue if they lowered their prices on labor rates for aftermarket mods, but thats awhole diferent topic.

Check body-ships, auto collision centers, and places like those. They are more than qualified to do that.

I got my springs installed for about 200. No alignment needed (though I need one) and I dont have camber kits and after I swapped my wheels, not much camber wear was there.

I found a local shop via Craigslist and paid cash for their work. I think installation costs for springs was $125 and sways it was $100 after a little negotiating.

I also got a lifetime alignment from a tire chain for under $200 and use them quite often since the alignment guy takes his time and discusses everything with me.

Maybe you can make a post for anyone close to your area to help w/ your springs, it's not a real hard DIY as long as you have jackstands a breaker bar and decent spring compressors. The autozone/o'reilly spring compressors are fine and as long as you return them in 24 hrs they're free (just grease the hell out of them )
If you lived near me I'd have no problem helping you out for some beer & a decent meal (Rib Eye & a good side, lol)
I installed my springs and F&R camber arms/toe bolt in about 5 hours, now that I know what to do could probably do it in half the time. The toe bolt is simple w/ the cutoff wafer, but took me awhile to figure this out

I'll ask around the local auto shops. I'll hold out on the camber kits(can't believe they're more expensive than the springs). I will have them install if necessary.

Blnewt, where you located? I can totally offer a decent meal/beer if you can help out. I am fine with paying just need somebody who can do a decent and honest job. Seems like the dealer is really out of their mind.

I just got a $200 alignment, but they did adjust the ride height a little and the labor came out to $45 for a half hour, ($90/hour).
