Is this the best Akebono BBK deal?

Seems pretty damn good especially the free shipping and the Nissan calipers (they always seem to cost more than the Infiniti caliper, not sure why). If there's a better deal do tell
Or PM me please. Thanks!

that says it's for all four calipers.

looks like a good deal to me. comes with everything you need and says 4 piston fronts with 2 piston rears.

other bbk's are way more expensive than that setup.

I'm pretty sure CZP... a vendor on this forum sells the BBK for 1.2k

Thanks for the replies guys. CZP has them on their BBK thread for $1425, possibly more if they don't have free shipping. The Nissan calipers I prefer over the Infiniti just because it'll go better w/ my OB G. Now to convince the wife (wish me luck)

That looks cool. Just ordered stop tech drilled and slotted rotors and pads (Posi Quiets) for $560.................Is it worth it for the calipers and other stuff?

I can still return, it's unopened.

For me I'm not really interested in the slotted or slotted/drilled rotors (haven't heard that they really do much for street use, and the drilled rotors are prone to cracking), but the larger S rotors and the better performance and much improved look of the bigger Nissan calipers would cinch the deal as far as going for the $1500 pkg I linked. You're already over a 3rd there and you still have the stock rotor size and generic calipers, I'd take the plunge if I were you.
Unfortunately I can't pull the trigger right away but if I caould these may be worth a look, and it's only be about $500 more than what you've already invested~He's got a "make an offer" listing so you may get it even cheaper

True and true, IMHO, and i do take it to the track occasionally. The RB 2pc fronts have open slots but would've preferred blanks if it was offered. I ran the OEM 13" sport rotors on the track as well.

Btw, try piecing out the parts and see if you can get it cheaper. That's how i approached it a while back and saved a couple hundred dollars for new parts.

p.s. "Better Performance" is somewhat of a misnomer though. The OEM non-Akebono set-up will do fairly well on good pads and fluid. Plus, you save on a few pounds worth of rotor material/weight over the standard Akebono's.

I'd really like to go w/ a Wilwood setup but just a bit more $$ than I can justify. That Ebay deal looks pretty killer but I just can't get the Mrs. on board soon enough To be honest I'm mainly doing it for looks as I think those gunmetal Nissan calipers would look perfect w/ the rest of my car.
Where did you piece together your setup, probably through several vendors? Appreciate your help, thanks!

Nothing wrong with doing it for looks. I spray-painted mine blue for that reason

For $1k, that's a great deal! Even those in the FS forum here don't usually go that low.

Yep, through various vendors. Most of it was sourced through InfinitiPartsUSA.com. I've got the part #'s if it'll help.

Thanks a lot for that part list, just priced it all out and it comes in about $1450 without shipping, so when the time comes hopefully that nismo deal will still be going on

They will fit but be sure to use this template on your wheels prior to purchase, the Akebono Calipers are huge and won't clear most wheels without spacers.
