Whacha got, buddy?
In the sig bro.

And it doesn't matter XS or S. the sways will be the same feeling for both.

The oem sways for both are silly bad.

So you upgraded the sways on a RWD Sport-package G37, and it was that big of an upgrade.

Good to know, Mattster. Thanks, bro.

In my opinion, yeah, it was that big of a difference. Over/under steer was completely gone, there was hardly any roll on the car, and cornering was MUCH stiffer. Course, my car is a little better with the coilovers and GTspec bracing, but still...aftermarket sways were such a noticible difference I was kinda shocked.

But opinions are subjective.

It's all good. It's exactly the opinion I've been fishing for, for some time now, so I appreciate it. Did you get the sways installed before the CO's and frame bracing? In other words, could you assess the mod all by itself in comparison to the OEM sway bars on a RWD Sport?

On my last car, my absolute favorite mod was solid polyurethane bushings in the engine torque mounts. It was a transformational mod, and while some people hated them, I was loving every minute.

Ya. Was my first and only mod. That's why I am confident the difference I was feeling was just because of the sways. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change anything with the order I have chosen to follow for modding.

Far as new engine mounts, idk if I'm gonna go that far....but maybe?

I stand by my initial statement of aftermarket sways being the best mod for noticible felt improvement versus cost.

A while back someone posted a video of a G doing a slalom course before and after hotchkiss sway install. In the video, you could SEE the body roll difference during the slalom. Wish I could remember where it was since it bares on this conversation.

I've been going back & forth on which should be my first non-cosmetic mod: HFC's or Swaybars. So once again, I appreciate this input.

Thanks.

hotchkis

I just installed my new Hotchkis sway bars this past weekend on my 10' G37X sedan and I am very happy with the results. No body roll what so ever and I am on stock suspension and wheels. The install was pretty straight forward so its not bad doing it your self. As my first real mod I think it was money well spent. Cant wait to get lowering springs and some new shoes . Seems I got the BUG now lol.

Great info, Mattster. Would you say that the Hotchkis sways increased any NVH in everyday driving?

Can't see how they would. Not an engine brace, and damping isn't affected.

I would have to agree with Rochester. Won't do anything for noise. Vibration would most likely be improved with engine mounts, and harshness would be improved with some form of damping, whether by springs/koni's or coilovers.

This mainly eliminated excessive body roll and makes the car corner better. Has less "give" in cornering.

Any of you guys upgraded your end links? I don't want the OEM ones to bend and fail on me.

From what I've read, you're OK as long as you don't lower your car.
