If the KW v3 are the 335 of coilovers...

what would be the G37 equivalent?

I plan on auto-x a few times but am hesitant to spend $2K on coilovers. So what other coilovers would provide 85%-95% of the performance at 50% of the price? How much adjustability is vital for basically a daily-driver?

I enjoy spirited driving but don't need a bone-jarring ride. I am currently on Eibachs but the front drop is not enough and the rear is too much.

if you dont want to spend money on suspension for auto-x'ing, i suggest not doing it at all. next you'll want tires that are cheap and that will last forever. suspension work is the MOST IMPORTANT PART IN AUTOCROSS. If spending 2k on coilovers is too much for you, I would suggest moving to Honda Civics.

a few auto-x events does not equate to needing a full-fledged road racing machine, baller. I was asking for suggestions that would provide a good ride for a daily driver and still allow me to auto-x a few times. btw I'm sure my tires are better than your Hankooks.

if he has hankook rs3's it aint!

haha but i heard the HKS hypermax 3 is pretty good for the track and also can be daily driven on, if you can still get a hold of one. also twin flex and mono flex's are also good too, just pair them up with EDFC module and you can change them while driving!

Correction: Hipermax 3 SPORT is what you'd want.

I had a set of regular Hipermax 3, and guess what? I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT. Honestly, I thought the ride quality was total ****.

Other more economical option for coilover you can go with BC Racing ER (NOT BR).

I do HPDE's a couple times a year, the car is on BC BR's, Hankook V12s and is a daily driver (16-18k/yr). I'm quite content with the set-up.

If you want to DD as well as auto-x, I suggest EDFC and Tein. Gives you the adjustment to stance yourself just how you want it to ride, and not give up comfort when you're DDing your car.
