The disc surface will rust, but scrape away after the first stop. That can't be avoided due to the abrasive nature of pad and rotor contact.

The hub surface and any area that's been painted has held up just fine. It's been on the car for about 3 years now -- roughly 55k hard miles.

From a performance perspective, they do seem to run cooler than the OEM rotors. At least, as hot as i can get them on a track that's relatively easier on brakes than any other track in the country.

As for the weight loss, i honestly don't feel a drastic difference losing that much weight on the front corners.

Overall, strictly from a performance perspective, i think it's worth it.

On the rears, i don't think those are worth the dime mainly because they don't get as stressed, and most of the weight loss is on the hub, where you won't really feel much of a difference. If it was closer to the price of an OEM set-up, then definitely get them. Otherwise, just stick with the fronts.

Thanks for the info! I forgot to ask what brake pads did you go with? As for the rears they seem reasonably priced for what I was quoted. I haven't looked at similar slotted rotors but before these dba rotors I was thinking of getting Adams rotors. The only reason why I'm leaning towards these is the 3-4 lbs in weight savings and the rest of the 2pc qualities.

Originally had the OEM Nissan, then swapped over to Stoptech SP's.

The rears do lose weight, going 2pc, but all that weight is on the hub area. You will be hard-pressed to feel that in terms of acceleration or stopping. The rears also don't get as much thermal abuse as the fronts. Given the price premium, i personally don't think the 2pc rears are worth it, based on these two factors.

Not to say one shouldn't get it though.

I was under the impression that they didn't have 2pc rears. (Dba)

Sorry, i thought we were discussing 2pc in general.

I have RB 2pc fronts, they also offer 2pc rears.

Can someone PM me on where the heck i can get the special Y looking screw driver for the 2pc rotor. i took the rotor hats off and cannot put them back without the special y tool. Looked at every auto store and loses/home depot. Anyone know the specific name to the bolt/screw thing..
