Hotchkis Sway bars silicone grease

Hello,

I must buy a silicone grease to stop the squeaking from the aftermarket sway bars.

I live in Canada and have difficulties finding the right product that could be shipped so I'm looking for advice on which product to choose.

I tried Summit racing but they can't ship the grease to Canada.

Any advice/ideas?

Thank you,
-YetiTL

Try your local auto parts store. Silicone grease shouldn't be hard to find, unless it's some weird Canadian thing, eh?

Yeah, I got some from AutoZone. Not sure if they have this place in Canada.

Did it no come with silicon grease? I just installed my Eibach swaybars, and there were 2 tubes in the box. Just wonder if Hotchkis comes with any?

I just read you can use Teflon tapes as well. Check here: http://syclone.motocrew.com/CG5/swaylube.htm

Yes the bars come with grease but you have to regrease the bushings every now and then if you want to prevent any squeaking.

Thank you everybody!

The premise here is to use SILICONE grease, because water will never wash it out, vs synthetic regular grease, even if they do claim excellent water resistance.

Also make sure you guys grease them every 8k miles for minimal wear on the polyurethane bushings.

I went to auto zone a few weeks ago and asked about the grease. They did NOT have it and the guy who was the manager, didn't even know what I was talking about.

Any idea where you can get this stuff on line?

Prothane Motion Control 19-1751 - Prothane SuperGrease - Overview - SummitRacing.com

You can use the original Hotchkis grease, or the Prothane grease(made by energy suspension)

Both greases work well, I also use them to grease my Kinetix front camber arms as they require the same type of grease.

Hey! I just went to Canadian Tire and picked some up... I can't remember specifically what brand but it worked just fine and it was pretty cheap.

Hope that helps!
