Koni for G37 Coupe (Cincinnati G37s)

I have been in touch with Koni of America.

They are looking for someone in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, with a 2008/2010 G37 Coupe to see if the 370Z struts and shocks application work on a G37.
It would only be a couple of days.
The response was "If fitment is successful, normal procedure is to return the car with a free set of dampers already installed on the car"

I will not publish the person's name and number, out of politeness.

Serious inquiries please PM me.

That's great news! But usually Koni shocks are pretty pricey. I wonder how is the setup for Koni Shocks with let's say "Swift Springs" vs BC Coilovers, etc? Since they will probably be in the similar priced range.

Konis on springs are a different beast to me, have driven on them since 1980!!

Coilovers will get you height adjustment, along with damping rebound adjustments.

My setup would be Swift springs on Konis, all Im worried about is the damping/rebound adjustment.

Coilover makers come and go, Konis been around since I was a pup.

But thats not why I posted.

I for one need the answer, will 370Z Konis fit the G37!!

i'd actually LOVE to see the results too. because if they fit on the coupe, they'll fit on the sedan. albeit the ride might be....so so

I live in Cincinnati. I'm not sure I understand the deal, but I have a 2008 G37S.

The deal is:

Koni will take your car for a couple of days, to see if the new 370Z shocks and struts interchange. In my opinion I think they will!!

If it's successful, you get your car back with a new set of Koni Yellow struts and shocks installed. (The set goes for ~$1000.00 retail)

If you know anything about Koni, you will jump at the chance.

I asked for a set to be sent to me, and I would try it, but they want to test it themselves.

Are you interested, Ill give you the contact information at Koni North America in Cincinnati.

I guess I am interested. I have been considering coilovers to lower the stance, any idea how thier shocks would work with lowering springs?

Thanks,

The first pair of Konis (Reds) I had were on my 73 Z28, using **** Guldstrand

TVPostSound, do you know how to adjust the rear shocks for Koni? Is it on the top or on the side?

Thanks!

I would think that Koni is in a tough market when it comes to the Nissan platform. With all of the aftermarket coils and the prices of them, the spring/strut combo package and the functionabilities of them are hard to compete with.

Ride height? It would have absolutely zero affect of your ride height, its more for comfort
