My mechanic just install front and rear camber kit on my 07 G35 sedan, and he brought it into an alignment shop for me for alignment on my car.

My car is on Tanabe DF210 which lowered 1.4" all around. The front is in spec as seen on picture, but the rear camber is not and is -1.9 and -1.8, I wanted to be more like in the front so that the rear tires will stick out a bit more, but the alignment guy said that if he push it out a bit more, the toe, won't be in spec, is that true? Please help me and give me some advice

You posted this while the majority are asleep, so don't expect a response immediately. Give it a few days or hours, then hopefully you will get the response you are looking for.

 

Very possible. As you take away negative camber in the rear it will push the toe out (up). You can add adjustable toe bolts for more adjustments range (SPC/Eibach). I also think your toe is too high anyway. To save on tires, I would recommend getting it down to around 0.05, or slightly lower is good. That 0.18 and 0.19 is too high. You will have a lot of tire wear.

My personal recommendation for a mild street setup is slightly less than -1 degree of camber in the front and 0 toe, and around -1 degree in the rear and between 0.02 and 0.05 toe in the rear. The toe is what will really eat up your tires.....

 

I have the spc camber kit front and rear already, i think my mechanics may install it incorrectly because I think we need to drill a bigger hole for the toe at the rear? and my mechanics didn't do it

 

Yes, you will need to drill out a slightly larger hole in the rear for the toe bolt kit. It should come with a template.

 

There'd be no point to installing the new toe bolts if they didn't enlarge the holes. Your guy has no idea what he's talking about. If you have the SPC camber kits, I believe you can adjust your camber by like 3 degrees.

Firstly, I'd tell your mechanic to correctly install the toe bolts. Secondly I'd take it to another shop to do the alignment. I tried taking my car to a NTB (real close to where I live) and they said they couldn't adjust my toe either. So I ended up taking it to this place that's been around for like 50 years (almost 25 mi away). They don't have the fancy smancy alignment rack but he got the job done. And he said he had no problem adjusting the toe.

 

Yes you need to enlarge the holes using the template. The SPC camber kit gives you all the adjustment you can ever need. No problem for a competent shop to get it all within spec
