Ride with lowering sprigs??

I am considering lowering my G37 Sedan but I am not thrilled about having a harsh ride... Anyone have feedback on the Eibach kit and/or others??

I've heard good things about eibach, there's tons of reviews here too. Personally I'm on stechs and the ride feels the same as stock, maybe I'm just used to it

The ride is anything BUT harsh; I'm slightly disappointed with my springs for that reason - it wasn't as harsh anymore. It's not a bouncy feeling, but it's definitely softer than the OE sport springs. I'm on Tanabes by the way; I hear they're progressive though - so at higher speeds, they're meant to be more comfortable. At lower speeds, they're a bit stiffer. They do a rather impressive job of keeping the car flat during corners though...so I'll give 'em that. If you sort of put pressure on the rear of the car though, they're definitely (from what I remember) softer than the OE springs; more rebound.

Eibach would be a great choice for a sedan. I have it on my coupe and it's a great comfort level

The Eibachs are about 5% - 10% stiffer than the OEM "S" springs. It's hardly noticeable.

Agree on the Eibach comments. Nice drop, not agressive by any means if thats what you want though, and very good ride comfort. Not one comment from any passenger in my car and no bounce.

when i was on eibachs i got back in spec on alignment with no camber kit. uneven tire wear was no issues. the ride was firm, with slightly more road feedback, but not drastically different than stock.

i just put the stock springs back on. while i loved the ride and look of the eibachs, i just couldn't live with scraping the undercarriage on speedbumps and driveways, etc. coupes don't have the problem because they are shorter. i'm still trying to get used to the "lifted" look.

If you put front spacers (20-25mm) you will have a hard to time going back to spec

A simple question - if you wanted a lower ride, why not buy a Porsche or Corvette to begin with instead of trying to make a nice looking sedan like yours look kinda silly? Just askin'.

Eibach's are the way to go,I have been using them in all my cars for a few years and in my new 2011 G37S sedan and it drives almost like stock.

not sure if serious but that's one of the most asinine leaps I've read in a while. getting rid of the 4x4 wheel gap does not make the car look silly and it actually helps it handle a little better.

Please help me understand why people hang on an 'enthusiast' site then proceed to pan basic modifications. Sure there are ricey mods but for the most part this community seems to avoid them.

I really could not believe someone on this forum would say that adding lowering springs would make the car look silly. The truth is exactly the opposite, the OEM springs make the car look silly. I had a 2009 G37x sedan and with stock springs, it looked like a 4X4. Replacing them with the Eibach's not only got rid of the SUV look but it greatly increased the handling of the car.
