You think the sport brakes suck? Why do you say that? They've been very well reviewed. One particular thing I love about them is their linearity and lack of brake fade. I hate how the non-sport brakes on this car and other luxury sedans "grab" so much and then fade with any real brake pressure.

Only the coupe gets the good brakes. The Sedan gets the regular size brakes. He might have the sedan?

Ah ok, I didn't know that. So what does the xS get then? Does it get the sport suspension at least? If not, what is the point of the xS? Sorry to jack this thread.

I agree, the oem rotors and pads are horrible. I had mine resurfaced twice already, and now they seem to be going bad again.

What are some good rotors and pads?

I have the Centric premium blanks and Hawk Ceramic pads. So far, they are great! As good as OE braking power, quiet and low dust. I took out the front rotors/pads at 17k miles due to judder.

No, the x and xS sedan suspension (and brakes) are identical, but you do also get 18" wheels in the xS sedan.

So it's more of a sport appearance package? I'm gonna go look this up.

^ if you configure an AWD on the website with the sport package it does not mention a brake upgrade.

Do you mind explaining how the stock brakes suck? It amazes me that anybody who's not tracking the G37 decides that the stock brakes suck. I'm a aggressive driver and the stock brakes work great in my opinion. Would a manufacturer install brakes that suck and risk liability? I don't think so. Do you want big *** brakes just for show? Probably that's the reason anybody has to believe that stock brakes suck and justify spending a few grand in aftermarket parts. And my favorite of them all: spending a few grand on a leased car. Classic.

The OEM rotors suck because they get warped easily. I have mine re-surfaced twice and my car has only 40K miles. I am also looking for better alternatives, so people, please share!
