Call me crazy! Now I want to upgrade to stock akebono brakes..G37 (non sport)

I just got my G37 sedan non-sport w/ prem package (18 inch rims) and navi. I wasn't really fond of the sport package at the time with paddle shifter, stiffer suspension etc.. However, I'm now leaning into upgrading my breaks to Infiniti's stock akebono brakes. I saw an advertisement in our forums about bolt on's for $1620 f/r

Questions:

1. Would it fit my current rim spec? These we're the rims that came in the sport package in 08 sedans, now part of the premium package in 09.

2. Anyone know how much is it to install?

3. Good price or should I consider something else?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Should fit! Bet you wish you shoulda got that $2100 sport package now, instead of spending $1600 on the brakes alone!

Also, are you AWD? For some reason, Infiniti saw fit to not put these brakes on the AWD S's. Don't know if they don't fit or if there was another reason.

They will fit, but you will need at least 5 mm wheel spacers to clear the larger calipers. I'm running 20 mm spacers on my 2008 G35S.

Are you sure you didn't get the tire/wheel package also? Reason I ask is because I bought an 09 non-sport sedan also but they came with 17in rims. Sorry that this doesnt answer your question just had to ask.

LOL seriously... big fail. For $2100 it's such a steal, sport seats w/ silver stitching *drool*, and brakes is worth it alone.

got this off from the web, this is the exact rims I currently have. I just want to make sure that 5mm spaces would clear the new calipers.. Sorry still at work and don't have a pic handy.

Edit: 5mm spacers for both Front and Rear?

If you're getting spacers, you might aswell get 15mm so they sit more flush with the car.

No he just said he got the premium package and that it included the 18in wheels also. I got the premium package too but it didn't come with the 18in, so he had to have get the premium package + the wheel/tire package unless I got screwed by my dealership. I dunno maybe I'm just stupid haha.

Hey 2GoRNot2G

Do you happen to have a pic of your g35 with the 20mm spacer? Did you also install the akebono brakes? If so did you do it yourself or did you pay for someone to install and how much?

Sorry for not clarifying or for the very vague info, I did also get the wheel and tire package.

There's a whole thread on this over on G35Driver, but here are some pics. Hope this isn't too many for ya.

The Akebono brakes are basically "plug & play", they just bolt on. If you've changed brake rotors and pads before and have bleed your brake lines, then you can do the swap yourself. Mine won't be on until I get them powder coated, so no pics of those yet.

Do you have a pic of which wheels you have? Are they the same as the 2008 18" Sport wheels, like mine, or the 2009 18" Sport wheels?
