Question Squeaking Brakes??? So soon?

I have had my G for about 1.5 yrs and it has close to 17500 miles. I always park the car in garage and keep it very clean. I live in So Cal so it really doesn't rain here much and it didn't last winter. So the car has only gone through one winter but I can hear a squeaking noise on I believe my rear wheels on both side. I don't drive rough and nor do i break rough.

What's causing this? Or is this normal for the miles I have? The breaks seem to be working just fine.

If the breaks are fine, then is there any fix for this without having to spend so much?

I find it funny that it started doing this just about 2-3 months ago while it has been really hot here.

I'm not sure maybe the moister and winter doesn't cause this and something else does?

Thanks for your help.

In reverse this is standard.
If you hear squeaking noise going forward, then it's posibly time for new brakes.

TIP: get your brakes done before they grind down your rotors. On the G our rotors can be re-surfaced without having to buy new rotors

Is it the pad wear indicators or could they be glazed? If you aren't sure, check the pads first and swap um out if it's the wear indicators making the sound.

Dun no if G's do, but, early Z's with street pads glazed on me sometimes. When that happened, I'd just do a couple of long hard stops.

Lots of folks here to help, but, I think they need more info to know for sure what's going on.

Check the TSB Section of the Forums, there is a PDF of the TSB for this problem. The bigger problem is trying to get Infiniti to actually perform the TSB. 3 times I gave them the print out, and 3 times they just cleaned the pads and rotors and said all was fine. Mine squeals without fail every morning I back out of my spot. Even if its 100 degrees out, if its the first time moving it for the day the brakes will squeal.
