Hey man, let me know when you get those StopTech rear rotors....I'd love to change out my rotors to those same drilled/slotted rotors you have on your front end. Is it an easy install? What kind of new brake pads do you go with after the install on the fronts?

I sent an email to my StopTech contact to see if they had a new date for availability to us. Have not heard back yet.
I went with Hawk Ceramic.
My opinion. Changing the rotors is a 1 on a 1-10 hardness scale with 10 being hardest. Brake pads a 2. Brakelines a 3 because it is messy and have to bleed lines. Front calipers a 1 if doing lines at same time. Rear calipers a 2 only because one bolt can not get socket on. Hardness goes up a little if the car has lots of miles just to the fact that I hate working on old rusted parts.

our stock pads blow for use on the track. cant hold temperature well so they fade and when stomping on it the pads disintegrate
.
nice work hamsterg. just wondering if you made sure to rotate the front wheels lock to lock and make sure there is no kinking of the line or clearance issues. i had to install a couple extra nuts on the bolts to clear. other than that im really happy with the stoptech lines.
i also put in motul rbf600 fluid, which made bleeding a little hard since its the same color and hence hard to tell when you have new fluid flowing. driving feel is simply awesome now. im using stock rotors with project mu b force pads and have zero fading on the track, even from 120mph. pedal feel is stiff and after a while all the negative g starts to hurt my eyeballs
. how much are the stoptech rotors? i hope they arent too much more than the stock...

1) Yes check play on lines. Thanks.
2) Have not flushed brake fluid yet. I think I will do the measured approached like in the video on G35.
3) $220 + shipping for fronts if I recall correctly. Rears should be less.

nice writeup, thanks! mikes calipers look sick as always. rotors are cool too. the 1 thing i didnt do was ss lines, oh well. i swapped to pmu ns pads and motul bf600. you should definitely going to a higher rating fluid while you're at it. bleeding wasnt too bad but it helps if you have 1-2 people helping you. mike and his wife did mine so i just pumped.
