Squeak When Reverse

I've being noticing that when I reverse the car as I back up and tap the brake theres a loud squeak sound(as if brakes were old). I'm not sure if its my brakes or what....when i drive forward and brake it doesnt squeak at all.
It really bothers me.....

It's common with all the big brake kits.

Normal. I have the same issue. Kind of makes the car sound cheap, but oh well, that's the price you pay for having 14" brakes

When you are dealing with brakes, the larger the daimeter the disc is, the more prone they are to squeeks in reverse. According a field study conducted at USC in 2004 between a car with larger 15" rotors (Lamborghini) and a car with smaller 9" rotors, the Lamborghini, when reversing, made a loud squeek noise everytime. However when the car with the smaller 9" rotors reversed, there was no noise. Both cars were from the same owner and both had roughly 5,000 miles.

The reason why the brakes squeek on the larger rotors, is because there is more rotor in which the brake pads must grip. Certain pistons on the caliper react faster than others, thus leading to some areas of the pad rubbing against the disc before actually clamping, leading to the squeeking sound discovered in the study.

All in all, I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. I don't know why our stupid brakes squeek like that. I'm just on my lunch at work and thought I'd throw some bullshyza at ya I felt like I was in college again. Lolz. So yeah, you wanted technical, there you go. Had you goin tho huh? So STFU alien and have a nice day.

mine squeak sometimes too. Along with a lot of other high performance cars, the brake noises are actually normal, but may be taken as cheap or malfunctioning.

I have the same problem, Its normal to hear it when first starting up, but after your car brakes are warmed up, you'll barely hear it when reversing.

So in the morning it would be normal to hear that noise, Just gotta get use to it.

would you be interested in a JP lip btw?
