Brake system fluid capacity

Anyone who has bled/refilled the brake system when changing to BBK, how much fluid do you need for a complete refill of the system?

Also, does anyone know what size the bleeders are? I'm going to buy speed bleeders because I have no help when doing brakes.

Thanks!

Seems that nobody knows this answer for certain. I see that the OEM BBK that Riverside Infiniti sells comes with 3 500 ml bottles of fluid so I deduce that will be enough to flush and completely refill the system.

1.5L is definitely enough to fully bleed the system.

Do you know the length? I can't figure out any way to take the bleed screw out to measure the length without losing brake fluid.

hm interesting...well i wouldnt expect to lose much brake fluid by taking the screw out. but putting it back in would introduce air. you could just take the screw out, measure, put it back in and use a mityvac to suck out a tiny bit of fluid to make sure theres no air.

OK I got to ask.....why do you want to measure the length of the bleed screw? Just curious.

To know which Speed Bleeder is the correct replacement.

Found the info I needed.

I have another question for anyone who's done a brake job on the G: Did you have to bleed all 8 bleeders, or only the ones on the outer sides of the calipers?

@ black betty:

I'm not sure what the capacity, but for street driving, I'm alternate ATE Superblue and type 200. Theyre identical in formulation, but one is blue and one is gold, so you know when you're done bleeding.

Stuff goes for ~15/qt.

Nope, just planning to put in speed bleeders, SS lines, and some performance pads during the next brake job. May get my rotors slotted and coated as well.
