Given there are only so many places that actually make them, I wonder if they are identical with just different labels, part numbers and prices.

David,

The rear rotors are due to arrive on the April 24th however, we have to get them on the schedule to have them machine which will be an additional 3-4 weeks.

Hey Guys,
I can get both front and rear rotors (Stoptech Slotted/Drilled) for your G37S in 2 weeks once you order.
Please PM me for pricing.

LOL. I bet you just got a huge grin on your face! Hamster, let me ask ya....do you really think there's much quality difference between the StopTech rotors and Rotora? I know Andy has the Rotoras front/rear in stock at HPA, but do you think there's an advantage to the StopTechs? I think drilled/slotted rotors look gorgeous, and would love to make the switch. Thoughts?

I do not think one is really better than the other. I would bet, no facts although I tried, that both of the rotor blanks are from the same foundary. I do know from talking to StopTech that they get the blanks in and then do the machining for the slots and holes. So magically both Rotora and StopTech became available within a couple of weeks?

So I think it really comes down to the design preference (Rotora has more slots and holes) and the price.

So I say pick what you like the looks of and/or willing to pay for, and go for it.

For the price, I'll likely go StopTech. There's a $180 difference in the Rotoras and the StopTech. The only difference I can see in pictures is that the Rotoras have 8 pairs of drill holes and the S.T. rotors have 6 pairs. Also a few extra slots on the Rotoras.....I don't know if that justifies a $180 price increase on the Rotoras?

Also, what are some good brands of brake pads to consider when installing the new rotors? I know of Hawk and Project-Mu. Any other suggestions/reviews?

I would PM for prices of both including shipping before deciding on price.

As for pads, seems like a lot have Project-Mu, but I went with Hawk Ceramic due to low dust, and price.

If you change your rotors and pads, be sure to mark the pads you take off so that you know the orientation (inside or outside) and keep them with the rotor you take off. That way if you ever put them back on, they will be "seated".
