Dropping your car

What is the best brand to use? and if anyone has pictures of how much the drops look like? Not sure yet if I'll keep the stock rims or replace them with some shiny new shoes =P

id go with a flux capicator type strut with some eibach springs. They are perfect for racing on weekends and good for street driving.

Lowering springs just replace your stock springs and only have a set lowering height. Lowering springs are mainly for looks, and they also wear out your stock shocks and struts faster.

Coilovers are fully adjustable. You can adjust the ride height and the stiffness of the shocks. Coilovers are more performance oriented, but many people get them just beacause of the adjustibility.

So if I do go with the springs, I'll have to get new shocks also?

Hmm, not sure what I should do... since I just to lower my car just a few inches, but don't want to find that my shocks are out 65k miles down the line.

You won't have to right away.

Yeah, if you plan to keep your car long term, I highly sugest getting coils. The good thing about coils, is that the manufacturer usually has a warranty on the shocks, so you can get them maintained a few years down the line.

With any coils you can just set them to a soft setting for a smooth ride. I highly recommend the JIC-Magic FLT-TAR coilovers.
