Its not really a big drop like the H&R's, I got pics when I had them and pics of these tanabe's.. Theres a slight difference, but I just can't see going though all the hassle with alignment kits just to have your shocks blowing out every 6 months.. I mean you'll end up spending 200 for the rear alignment kit and 6-700 for the front upper arms (whenever they come out), just to put 2-300 dollars springs on the car; that still have a stiff ride.. Just my opinion..

Mako: Are there any cons expected to happen with the Tanabe's? Meaning, even with the subtle drop are they gonna cause things to wear out sooner than without? The front wheel gap does bother me, but I'm still trying to determine if Tanabe springs will cause more trouble than they are worth. I.E... excessive tirewear, shocks, etc.
Maybe it's still too soon to really know about the Tanabe's.
BTW: How much did it cost to install them??

G35 Diva, with the tanabe drop you shouldn't see any excessive wear.. As long as you get an alignment after the car is lowered, you'll be fine.. I had the H&R's and them springs will def tear your shocks and tires up, just because its so close to bottoming out the shock.. The camber created from the H&R's require you to get a camber kit for the front and rear. Which the front camber kit isn't even out of production yet.. Basically making it impossible to get the front aligned.. I called H&R and they just had nothing to say, I asked about alignment issues, and they recommended a camber kit, so I asked if they knew anyone who manufactured a front kit, and they were like ???? I installed both sets of springs myself..

You are kinda correct. Coils will have a very long life cause the strut is designed for the different coil settings and travel distance. Normally if you changed the springs you would want to change the strut as well so they work properly together. Basically coilovers are a spring/strut combo already matched.
