this isn't just impul that has these prices. All large japanese tuning houses charge a lot of money for their items. this is nothing new. If you have not been in the tuning game for a while and delt with compaines like these then i can understand how they seem like a lot of money but thats not the case. This is the norm for these type of items. From start to finish I invested a little over $160k worth of parts into my S2000 not including the price of the car. These parts are not cheap by any means and are not meant for the people who want a bargin deal. these items are made for the hard core tuners who not only want the best possible item they can get, but items that are true and tested from a company that has been around for a while in the tuning and racing game. Also when you pull up to a car meet or show and there are say 15 cars. 11 may have say an HKS exhaust while one will have the Impul. Some people are willing to pay for that some are not.

over 160k into your s2000 I hope it wasn't a lease like the rest of your cars. all that money you should have some hardcore media coverage, please provide links.

nope lease. I dont mean $160 in parts sitting on the car. I mean over the period of working on the car from start till finish. I only delt with high end high quality jdm power house items on my car. thats my style. I dont mind paying 3k for a bumper or 2500k for a cf diffusor so my car is more exclusive then the next.

you must have went through alot of bumpers, wheels, diffusors and everything else to reach 160k.... so i'm sure you have a few mag covers, show trophys,SEMA pictures and other coverage on your car you can link us too like all other "jdm power house tuners" in the U.S. i'm interested in seeing how all of your work paid off.

yes i went through a lot of items for sure. I have plenty of pics of my car. no mag covers, trophys, or anything of the sort as i never went for any of those things. I was doing this for my own personal enjoyment. not to get attention.

you see no point because you dont track your car. Go to a track day and push the G and watch how fast you fry your brakes. You will glaze the pads, warp the rotors and have more brake fade then a car with no brakes. These brakes are designed for people who are going to track the car. Impul makes plenty of money which is why they sell parts at the prices they do. just because your not willing to spend the money doesnt meant others are not. Take a trip over to S2KI.com there are hundreds and hundreds of members on their who spend just as much money as i do on my cars. these are the kind of people who keep impul making parts. and impul does not market to just the US. they sell plenty of parts locally in japan also.

And it's still just a S2000. You have a serious JDM issue. Don't believe for a second that because JDM is stupid overpriced it is therefore better in some way.

You say you want exclusive. For $160K that's easy. Porsche GT2 or GT3. Gallardo. Aston Martin. Hell, how about a Cayman S AND a M5?

guys i don't think you are understanding what he is saying. He agrees they are crazy overpriced but for the quality and exclusivity he was willing to pay. I also believe he owns a shop (wrong?). so it could be a write off and a tool to showcase his shop if he has one,? anywho, spendins 20-30 40 or more on your car is not for all. I know what i got is not for all nd that makes me even happier when i look at how much it costs. Again Impul, top secret, amuse etc is not for all hence UNV loves it more.

On my car my seats won't be matched by many, my wheels either nor my BBK. that is why i love them sooo much!

I hope some things are purchased b/c great quality and great prices but not everything.

also not all build for recognition. some do it for themselves.

hope this helped??

I do understand. For less than half the money, you can get BBK from Brembo, Wildwood, Stoptech all of which are every bit the quality of this JDM stuff.
