Currently waiting to get a engine swap and while my car is down I wanted to make clear taillights my plan is to find a clear lens and remove the red plastic lens and glue the clear on if anyone know how to or where I could find a lens let me know thanks thought it would be a cool project

im looking to make them not purchase some you know? One guy told me 800 for some clears and If he could make them so can I just have to figure it out

 

what I’m saying is these are clear lenses. You buy these to get the clear lens and then should replicate a mold.
you need these to make clears regardless.

 

Welcome to the forum. Everyone wants these. They realize the price and in the inability to purchase they compartmentalize the mod. Your approach is fantastic being that most of us think that way.
The part that you skipped out on was proper research to determine if the actual rear lens can be purchased which it's not. The G rear lens is curved and one I'm confident you are not replicating anytime soon.
This will lead to you having to purchase a set of clear tails to mod/hack.

The mod regardless of your approach will cost you $300 or more. As the V36 becomes more sought after and engine upgrades are decently expensive the focus then switches to looks.

You can do this with headlights by just getting the lenses but you cant on the tails.
