Recommendations for aftermarket headlights & fog lights
**NOT ASSEMBLIES** planning to get the iconic spyder ones in the future, but im talking headlights themselves, brands etc. I know we take HID, and theres alternatives like LED's n such, but anyway, I'm so tired of my dull *** lights, I cant see anything at night, (yes my headlights are polished), and Im looking for something bright, but not obnoxious to other drivers. Fog and headlights please!
I am sure Morimoto is considered one of the best in the business. That, and the TSX lens swap for the OEM projectors are the most beneficial/ popular swaps around.
As far as the poor light output you are describing, what HID bulbs/ temperature are you currently using?

ill be getting the spyder lenses, the sequentials, and im pretty sure they use stock hids, im really tryna find something bright but not overbearing to others
Your stock bulbs are in the 4100-4300K range. And, if they are original to your car (11 years old) then they likely need replacing anyway- especially if you do a lot of night driving. If you wanted a "brighter" bulb, you could consider a colder bulb (5000-6000K). I run Osram CBI 5500's as that is as close to "daylight" as you can get and offers the most usable light output. Anything colder than 6K and you get too much blue/ purple output which greatly diminishes light quality.
Technically, LED's are only better because they use less power to produce the same/ slightly more lumens than HID's. Also, LED's have a longer lifespan as long as heat is controlled.
Lighting technology is one of those things that most people will never agree on. Whether it be incandescent, HID, LED, or the newer laser technology, everyone has their own opinion. Just do your research and see what appeals to you. Hopefully others will chime in...

You're going to get much worse output out of pretty much any of the aftermarket headlight housings for our cars. Almost all of them suck for lighting and use cheap projectors and lenses and such. Replace your factory bulbs with new ones and see where you're at. Nothing will really give you much for light on backroads outside of auxiliary LED lightings like a light bar. Diode Dynamics makes ones that should be high quality.

I would suggest you upgrade your HID bulbs and, possibly, swap your existing fogs to the Morimoto LED units. Based on those results, then you can determine if a light bar would be helpful. I had considered one at one point, but I just do not drive much at night anymore.
We held a similar discussion in this thread about the benefits of a light bar.
Trust me, I know where you are coming from. Less than 5 minutes from the beach and I am in the sticks.... with a ton of critters, clueless tourists, and clutzy clucks running amok..

i see the motos are ab $100~ for the fog
heres these hids youre probably referring to https://www.z1motorsports.com/headli...BoCAcIQAvD_BwE
These are the newer version of the HID bulbs I am running now. Mine are 5500K, these are 6000K.
Here is one version of the Morimoto LED fog lamps. There are a few others. I see no reason to swap to HID fogs unless you just want them.
http://theretrofitsource.com will point you in the right direction. I am not suggesting you buy from them, however, try to avoid buying from Amazon or eBay unless you can guarantee their products are legit.

I bought a pair of Morimoto LED Fog lights 8 years ago from RetroFitSource, and they're still working just fine today. These are whole assembly replacements, not just bulbs.
They were only $100 for the pair back then, so I just looked and today they're $148. Still a bargain for quality parts, IMO.
