I want to get the LED from Diode Dynamics. I just want to get the pure white 5k. Just want to make sure that the HID match the city light bulbs I get

For reference, this is 5k for all replacements:

HIDs were a little more 'true white' where the others definitely had more of a blue hue. I did grab 6k a few years later for the HIDs and they would probably match the above set-up a bit better than the above all 5k set-up.

Nope they were stock there. Ended up doing a yellow vinyl overlays. Here is a shot with ambers back in and 6k HIDs. Yellow fog light vinyl applied with OEM bulbs for the fogs:

Very nice. How hard was it to do the overlays?

Not hard at all. I believe I released the bulbs and clips for the fog light housing from under the car. Then it was just: remove chrome housing, apply vinyl, smooth out, reinstall in reverse order.

Go for it brother. The OEM offered the most usable light so I wanted to retain that (gets foggy around me; especially early morning) while still having the aesthetics.
