Heated Seat Bezel

Does anyone know why the heated seat bezel is different between model years? I'm looking at part number 68485-JU60A and I can't imagine it wouldn't fit every year. Did they put a blank by the trunk release button when they moved the traction control to the center? I'm curious because I'd like to put one of those OEM-sized USB ports in the middle there and want to make sure everything should fit before I order anything.

The only possible, physical, difference could be between AT and MT consoles and how the switch bezel gets installed onto the finisher. Aside from that, as long as there is the "blank" center slot, you shouldn't have any problem installing your USB port.

That's what I figured. On that site I linked it has it listed for "manual transmission, convertible". I wanted to double-check because I have a 2011 IPL but it doesn't list it on the models until the 2013 MY. I'm guessing that's just when they decided to move the traction control switch.

Might want to check your existing bezel. If the switch cavity is already pre-cast then you might just need to dremel out a slot/hole for the "switch" to pass through.

I thought about trying to dremel a hole for it but on mine I feel like the switches for the seats are too close together. I was looking at it again today and I think the updated one should fit exactly from looking at the diagram again. I'll update this once I give it a shot.
