Noob here... I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a 2013 G37S sedan. Car has the Xenon bulbs for low/high beam. Discovered that the passenger side high beam is not working, but the low beam works fine, as well as the low/high works fine on the driver side. Bought a new bulb from Infiniti ($165!!!), replaced it yesterday, but still have same problem. Questions are:
1) ballast/igniter issue?
2) can I buy an aftermarket ballast/igniter that is plug n play (don't want to have to drill any holes or make any mods here). Infiniti says they quit selling ballast after 2011, so they say I have to buy the whole headlight assembly, list price over $1,500!
3) is there something else I should check before dropping $ on a new headlight assembly?
4) best place to buy an EXACT match at a more reasonable price (want new, not used)
5) should I replace the currently working ballast while I replace the inop one (if that is the culprit) as I don't want to have to drop the bumper again. I mean, is it common for those to go out, or should I roll the dice an leave the working one alone?
