Torn perforated leather

Hello, I have a pretty nasty tear in the driver's seat leather and was wondering what the best option would be to fix it. I've attached some pictures as well.

Have upholstery stitch in new piece. It was cheaper for them to put in alcantara insert on both front seats then do 1 in perforated leather

I would prefer replacing the perforated leather. Do you know the cheapest route to doing this? Would I have to buy a new seat in order to do this?

You couldn't damage more trying to use leather patch on underside to glue it back together. They sell leather vinyl patch kit for like 20 bucks. You put patch on underside and use heat activated glue and press it back together. The labor is same for shop to cut out and restitch in around 2 hours of labor. The leather can be expensive. Sewell paid 500 to do both my seats vs 550 for 1 bc getting OEM or OEM looking perforated leather was more expensive. The shop that did mine only does custom and high end interior work.
