Unhappy Windshield rubber pieces and bottom corners

Can someone help me on how to get this thing to fit properly? I've tried so many ways. When it looks right and flush, it interferes with the hood and the hood hinge just pops it out or the piece itself pops out the rubber/foam at the back of the hood. If it is out of the way of the hood, it is not sitting flush and just flaps about. It does not want to fit "like oem" no matter what I do. The passenger side is perfect. This is on the driver side that I'm having issues.

Appreciate all the help I can get.

Best,
Banshee

edit: And when I do get it to sit flush as the hood is closed, after a drive it's lose again to the touch. Even forcing that rubber nipple into that hole won't hold it. If someone could post pics of theirs that would maybe help.

The double sided 3m tape has come undone. Needs to be cleaned off and apply a new layer of 3m tape.
