Auto headlight Problem after Hid Bulb Install

Hi Guys

I just changed my 2010 G37X low beam bulb to 6000k D2S bulb so before i changed it my lights were also left on the "Auto " setting so when it was dark outside the headlights would automatically switch on. After installing the hid bulbs i tested to make sure it works before putting everything back and the hids work no problem so after putting everything back and then i turned on my car also in the auto setting the hids dont turn on at all no headlight turned on even after i switch the headlight switch to the headlight mode and after moving my car and driving a bit i dont understand......So i turned off my car and turned it on again and it works fine. Then later i washed my car and after that tried to set it on auto again and headlight didnt turn on again i dont know why it keeps on doing this if anyone has come across this issue what do i do??

Thanks

Did you buy some quality Osram, Philips or Morimoto HID bulbs or some cheap *** $30 ebay/amazon HID bulbs?

i bought it from a local car shop paid bucks for it but i bought like 4 sets of hid kits from this place and had no problem but this is the first time i bought just bulbs. One more thing i think i may of touched the bulb with my disposable glove that was dirty when working on car but didn't touch it with my actual hand would that make it malfunction i cant figure this out if anyone can give more tips. Taking the bulb out is a pain

How much exactly is "paid bucks for it"??

The ballasts in nissans & infiniti can be really picky when it comes to replacement bulbs. If they are low quality no-name brand bulbs than they will give you trouble like you are experiencing.

You say you bought "4 sets of hid kits" from them but that doesn't mean anything because the kits they sell contains cheap bulbs that are meant to work with their cheap ballasts. Your car comes factory with a OEM (Matsu****a/Panasonic)ballasts and D2S (Osram) xenon bulbs. If you stick some cheap generic no-brand bulb in your headlights you will have compatibility problems with your ballasts not wanting to work with your bulbs.. You will need to replace it with some better quality bulbs like from the brands I mentioned above. Morimoto has a real budget friendly $50 option if the other brands are too costly for you.

One of the top bulbs available on the market is the Osram Cool Blue Boost. They can be had for $110-$190/pair. I would aim for Osram CBB if I were in the market for new bulbs.

yes i understand what you are saying thanks for your feedback. Do you think having myself touch the bulbs with my disposable gloves would effect this issue? or is it the bulbs 100% ??

the bulbs i had in there before i dont think they are oem either (the old one is below)

If you would like to be 100% sure you can always just swap the bulb back to stock for 1 headlight and test it.

changing the bulbs is simple. Turn the wheels all the way and remove the fender liner back and you have access to the dust cover and bulbs.

the oem ballasts are picky and aftermarket bulbs are hit or miss unless you go with quality ones.

Morimoto are proven quality bulbs that are compatible with nissan and infiniti oem ballasts.

thats for the help ....what is weird i just tried the lights it works perfectly at 10pm at night but today at like 3pm the lights wouldnt turn on at all? So i also thought it could be the sensor for the auto headlight turn on. But even when i switch the headlights all the way to the low beam headlight setting it wouldn't turn on but at night time it works perfectly except when i try to turn off the low beam headlight at 10pm it wont shutup unless i turn off the car???
